Halloween/Pumpkin Theme

Here are the  highlights of our recent Pumpkin/Halloween activities, sorry it's been awhile since I've posted...life has been busy :)

We made playdough pumpkin pies with our yummy pumpkin pie playdough,

We played a game where we had to pass a pumpkin around the circle using no hands, just clothespins,

We learned how to make the letter P

We learned that pumpkins start as seeds then go through different stages to finally become pumpkins

We made chocolate chip pumpkin muffins,

We painted pumpkins,

We learned the fingerplay "5 Little Pumpkins,"

and we practiced our math skills by making Jack-O-Lantern patterns.

Some of our Halloween fun included...

coming to school dressed up in our costumes,

having our feet painted to make an art project,

playing Halloween BINGO

playing a Candy Corn math game,

sorting Halloween candy,

playing a very silly game where got to eat a doughnut hanging from a string without using our hands,

reading the book "There Was An Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything" and making the sound effects to go along with it,

making letter H,

and playing with different "fall" items in the sensory table.
